There's been a lot of talk in the media recently about "Carbon Footprint".  Many tools and initiatives have popped up that help you calculate or reduce your carbon footprint.  I haven't tried to calculate my carbon footprint yet, but see it as a great way to encourage people to reduce the amount of polution they create.  One wacky way of representing how we contribute to polution is to calculate the amount of carbon created to create one burger.

Thanks these wre useful. I recently bought a hybrid and installed solar panels to deal with this serious issue...and my gas electric bill.
